THE 1984 SOCIETY
In honor of CABA Pro Bono’s inception, the 1984 Society formally recognizes our community supporters who are dedicated to our continued service for the years to come. CABA Pro Bono Legal services began in 1984 when Jose Garrido, a past president of CABA Pro Bono Project, recognized disparities for Spanish speakers in the community who did not have access to legal representation. A group of attorneys gathered, united by one mission: to help our neighbors in vulnerable positions by providing pro bono representation. Today, the 1984 Society represents a group of supporters who are inspired by the changemakers in CABA Pro Bono’s history and committed to joining the action.
Honoring Leadership in Justice
The 1984 Society recognizes generous donors whose annual support expands access to justice for low-income individuals and families by CABA Pro Bono Legal Services. All gifs made in a calendar year – including event sponsorships, online gifts, checks, firm contributions, and pledges – count toward your 1984 Society level.
