Manuel L. Crespo, Esq. to serve as director

MIAMI — January 1, 2025 —CABA Pro Bono Legal Services (CABA Pro Bono) announced the appointment of Manuel L. Crespo, Esq. to its board. Crespo will serve as a director.

“Manny brings proven leadership skills and an ongoing commitment to our community,” stated Lesley Mendoza, Esq., Executive Director of CABA Pro Bono Legal Services. “These qualities align with the board’s dynamics and complements our goals and mission. We look forward to his efforts as we expand our presence in the community.”

Crespo currently serves as a partner in the real estate practice group at Greenspoon Marder LLP. He began practicing law with his late father, the Honorable Manuel A. Crespo, at Crespo & Crespo until his father was elected to the bench. After that, Crespo built a sole-practice and later a firm practice in real estate and litigation.

He is past president of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) and served on the board of directors of the Dade County Bar Association, Legal Services of Greater Miami, and as chairman of the Grievance Committee of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit for the Florida Bar. He was previously appointed by Florida Bar President, Ramon Abadín, to co-chair the Florida Bar Committee for Diversity and Inclusion.

In addition, Crespo was recently honored by CABA and Legal Services of Greater Miami for his efforts in providing legal services to the underprivileged. He was also previously appointed to the Chief Justice’s Advisory Committee for the Pro Bono Service Awards by Florida Supreme Court Chief, Justice Jorge LaBarga. The Broward County Hispanic Bar Association recognized Mr. Crespo for his outstanding leadership.

He holds a Juris Doctor from Boston College School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University.
